About Will Orchard:
Will Orchard is a songwriter from Rhode Island. As a teenager, he dipped his feet into the Providence, RI music scene with his experimental folk project, LittleBoyBigHeadOnBike. He dove deep into his own creative process by self-releasing a collection of songs every week, until he had released 100 EPs and full length records by the age of 20. During this time he began attending Boston’s Berklee College of Music, but soon enough he found himself away from the city as part of a music collective on Ashlawn Farm in Lyme, CT. This time spearheaded Orchard’s introduction into DIY touring, which took him to small clubs, house venues and coffee shops around the eastern US. This period also produced the songs which would turn into Orchard’s first record released under his own name, titled Old Friends on the Mountain. Will Orchard then toured incessantly around small venues in the United States and eventually Europe, all without the help of a booking agent. His most recent record, I Reached My Hand Out, found a home on Brooklyn-based record label, Better Company Records. The record was described as “enchanting and emotional” by The Wild Honey Pie, “a refreshing take on folk” by Melted Magazine, and Orchard has been described as “One of the most astonishing musicians of recent years” by Totally Wired.
