Tim Dvorkin (aka Timmy) is a modern blues, jazz, funk, rock, fusion keyboard player and composer. Timmy’s passion-fueled performances are so contagious that every listener is engaged in an awesome musical experience & joy!
Tim Dvorkin was born in Russia and he started playing at restaurants, clubs & other venues at the age of 14. Before moving to the US, Tim played with “JAM,” a blues/rock band that performed around Russia & Europe.
After moving to the US, Timmy went to Berklee College of Music, where he received the “Best All Around Keyboardist” award and played 200+ recording & film scoring sessions. Timmy also has played 2,500+ shows all over New England, New York, South Carolina, Florida, Ohio & Canada as a session player.
Timmy has played/performed, recorded & shared the stage with Lionel Loueke, Tiger Okoshi, Janek Gwizdala, Antonio Sanchez, Warren Wolf, Walter Smith III, Jaleel Shaw, Deantoni Parks, Davy Nathan, Ruslan Sirota, Svoy, Dwight Adams, Esperanza Spaulding, Christian Scott, Tony Gray, Jordan Perlson, Louis Cato, Dmitry Ishenko, Kayta Matsuno, Sugarland, Clint Black, George Jones, Quiet Riot, Gary Bartz, Greg Bandy, Chris Beard, Shemekia Copeland, Mike Zito and others.
Some of Timmy’s influences are McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Brecker Brothers, Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson, Dave Weckl, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Chris Potter to name a few.
Timmy is currently residing in Columbus, Ohio, working on his projects focusing on Jazz, Funk, Fusion & more. Timmy’s studio and live performances include a solo act, trio and quartet, and other projects as a session player.
